Finding My Voice: The Journey to Being Heard
Today marks a monumental achievement for me—I hit number three in Google search results when you look up David Daniels Florida. Just behind Fox News. Yep, you read that right. Not the network itself, but the local Fox station. The irony? I watch them every day. They were my go-to in Denver (along with Channel 2), and now they’re my station in Tampa.
You might wonder, why in the world would you support a company that posted that story about you? Because it’s not about the company—it’s about the people. I watch for the anchors, the personalities I’ve grown to trust, even if I take the news with a grain of salt, regardless of the station. They’re doing their job, reporting what they’re given, not always investigating. Still, it stings that the same outlet painted a distorted picture of me. I’ve sent certified letters to 20 news outlets, including Fox 13, asking them to remove the story. Not a single one has responded.
Their article? Sensationalized clickbait. Google claims it doesn’t favor sensationalism in search rankings, but ask anyone in SEO, and they’ll tell you otherwise.
Why This Matters
So, why is this such a big deal? Because for the first time in two years, I’m reclaiming my voice. For two long years, the internet’s version of David Daniels was all people knew. Coworkers I once considered friends blocked me without a second thought. Strangers sent death threats. Old lovers dug up the dirt and threw it back in my face. No one ever asked for my side of the story. No one cared to.
But now, thanks to all of you who’ve clicked on DavidDanielsFlorida.com from around the world, I’m number three. We launched the site just three weeks ago, and the fact that we’ve skyrocketed to this ranking is beyond insane. It’s a win for me, but also for everyone who’s believed in me. To you, I say thank you. While I can’t do a real cheers from house arrest, I’ll raise a Heineken 0.0 in your honor.
What’s Next
In these last three weeks, I’ve also launched AngleAngels.com (my podcast) and TampaBonds.com (resources for those with loved ones incarcerated in Hillsborough County). But that’s not all—there’s another, even bigger project in the works. Stay tuned, and I’ll be sharing more in the next few months.
Beyond that, we’re still fighting. On July 1, 2024, we filed a 3.850 motion for post-conviction relief. The legal process takes time—about a year before we see real movement—but already, we’re seeing positive signs in the investigation. Progress may be slow, but it’s steady.
Stay Strong, Stay Inspired
I’m not sharing this to boast. It’s a reminder that no matter how many times life knocks you down, you get back up. Trust me, I’ve been knocked down more times than I can count. But here I am—still standing. Still fighting. Still using my voice. And so can you. Don’t ever let anyone knock you out.
I’ve been channeling my inner Kendall Toole (shoutout to Peloton) on this journey. Her energy, her words, they resonate. So, here’s my Kendall moment: Stay strong. Reach out if you’re struggling. I’m here, always keeping it close to the vest.
Much love,
David
